CHARM CITY TAROT
Josh and Charlotte, partners in life and art, have co-created a tarot card deck called Charm City Tarot. They love living in Baltimore and wanted to celebrate it by designing a tarot deck inspired by the landmarks and icons that make Baltimore so charming. With decades of experience in illustration and art-making, Josh hand-illustrated each of the 78 cards in the major and minor arcana, paying homage to Pamela Colman Smith's wonderful illustrations in the Rider-Waite-Smith tarot combined with their own Baltimore spin. Charlotte and Josh launched a Kickstarter to cover their printing costs and they just reached their funding goal! They're officially printing 200 decks with help from Work Printing (just blocks away from their home) and Greenerprinter that’ll be ready just in time for Baltimore’s Lantern Parade at the end of October (where Charlotte, a tarot aficionado, will be doing live tarot readings with their deck in an elaborate costume! What fun?!). Josh and Charlotte are still offering “rewards” for early investors, including discounted tarot decks, prints and custom art by Josh, and additional in-person and virtual tarot readings of the deck by Charlotte.
